One of my best friends ordered extensions from irresistableme.....first, their most popular (and more affordable” ones....(which were great) so she ordered their highest quality ones (which seem to be even better). She styles her hair daily: heat, product, etc. If I wasn’t in the beauty industry for the last 15 years, I’d have probably never known she had clip ins.....which inspired me to consider them.Fast forward to my “research/review” journey to see if I really wanted extensions at all. Her IM brand didn’t get the greatest reviews, but they did look amazing on her and she really loved them. That was a heavy consideration for me. I’ve had professional extensions in the salon (perks of being in the industry and only paying about half the cost) and they were great (microbead type) and natural looking. I HATED the aftermath of them and how distressed my hair was. Let me say this: My hair is BABIED and SPOILED. I have it dry trimmed 2-3X/year (my stylist says it’s always SO healthy and barely needs touched by her). I color it about 4X/year to get the red out that develops over time from sun, mineral water deposits, etc. and it’s a natural by-product of having any shade of brown hair (mine is on the dark side of brown naturally, so I lean towards a 2N color when it’s time do color it, because I like how rich and deep it is (my natural isn’t as rich/deep), yet definitely NOT harsh like black would be on me). I only use sulfate-free products and even go a step further in “natural” and choose SheaMoisture products because the ingredients are as natural as I’ve ever found that my hair responds amazingly to. I don’t style my hair. I don’t own a dryer or iron of any kind. My hair doesn’t see heat except 2-3 times a year my stylist asks if she can throw a few round curls in (so she feels like she did more than just nibble my ends). I throw SheaMoisture conditioner on the ends or strengthen/grow creme, or massage/body oil in it while it’s wet, and walk out the door and wish myself the best of luck. It only gets washed once a week. I may also occasionally “wash” my roots with water mid-week and wet it all down and throw more moisture in it. It’s naturally curly, and I’d classify it as a hot mess combo of 2A, 2B, and 3A, depending on the day, humidity, how many days since wash, etc. After all my “research”, knowing I’m a NO/LOW maintenance hair person and use oils in my hair, I ruled out tape in extensions and decided clips were my route if I was gonna do this. I knew I didn’t want a lot of volume, just rather more filling in. Based on my friend’s clip ins, I knew I didn’t want a lot of weight either. So was leaning towards 100g-140g (max). 120g sounded perfect. I took the plunge and went with this showjarilly brand, in the “wavy” & “natural black”. When it arrived, I thought it might be a tad too light, but didn’t care too much. I wanted to see if I’d even like them, how they’d blend, etc. I didn’t care if the ends weren’t “full” like the root. My own hair isn’t, as it naturally thins at the ends the longer it gets and “ages”. (The longest STRETCH” of my own hair goes to my tailbone (probably equals only HALF of a clip size section of hair - for reference of what little of it is the longest), and I have fine long layers and volume isn’t an issue...I’m not going for the “Cher” or 80’s big hair look and ok with it weighed down wherever it falls).Anyyyyyway, I asked a few friends for feedback on my hair (anything different, color, etc). They said it just looks a little longer or “done” and they know I don’t “do” my hair)! They didn’t know I had clips! I even asked my grown children if my hair looked different and they had NO idea either, THAT is a testimony.I’m attaching a pic of my hair wet (not sopping, but just for reference), dry and “natural” (2 different pics to show curl pattern and lighting variance), and then pics with clips in (and 2 in a pony).I just ordered the jet black to see the difference compared to the natural black. For the record, I’m a 44 year old grandmother of 5. Anyway, these are great and I’m a fan and will use them on days I “do” my hair (which is literally taking the 10 minutes to throw these 7 clips in and hit the door). One of the clips needs to be sewn on one side after only a first wear. That quality mark is lacking, but not enough to justify deducting a star. Sewing any of theses is small inconvenience compared to big quality and savings.Hair is silky and nice. Has a natural brown color mixed well with my hair. No shedding. They are beautiful tape ins but if you’re gonna do a full head and you have thin hair by four or five packs I only bought three and yeah it wasn’t enough the packs are very small there aren’t a lot of tape ins. when it says 20 it means 20 all together not 20 in the pair of twos which is kind of annoyingI used this hair to make a lace wig I had a little more full and it did just it’s job. If you are doing an install with your natural hair I suggest buying 3-4 packs for a full look.Best Tape In Extensions I have ever purchased!! Purchased these on my moms account and she never writes reviews, but I just had too because these are amazing! I want people to get and see an honest review. I included a before picture of my hair without extensions so you could see the difference. I have been wearing tape ins since I was 16 years old, I am now about to be 21 and these are the best I have ever bought. PROS: These extensions do not tangle, or have yet to for me! They do not shed, blend beautifully, tape is great quality, hair is great quality, super soft and silky even after washes! Just make sure to use extension safe shampoo and conditioner. CONS, but not major!!!: Hair is slightly darker than picture but that’s expected because phones and computer screens always show altered pictures. Hair is more of a dark cherry red then copper. As you can tell from my before picture, that’s the color I was trying to match, and the extensions came darker than I thought. However, I just died my hair darker to match the extensions as you can see and honestly I absolutely love it more darker! So very pleased. Lastly the hair is not as thick from top to bottom as expected. The hair does thin out a lot at bottom, but if you know what you’re doing when styling you can make it look much thicker at the ends like I did! I really highly recommend these extensions and will never be using another brand again. Great price as well. I have paid so much money for such worse quality tape ins before that tangle and shed, and were just a mess! For reference I have thin hair and I used only two packs. I may buy another due to the bottom hair being thinner just to make it a little thicker but not sure yet. Want to see if it eventually thins out over time! If not, then the two packs is fine for those with thin hair.I’ve been using tape in extensions for almost ten years now. These tape-ins have the worst matting and knotting I have ever experienced. I’ve had them in for 2 weeks and it’s been a disaster. Most have slipped out due to having to brush often and with intensity at the severe fluffy knots (yes, I know how to properly brush tape ins but the matting was so bad that even with proper technique, they still came out). I bought two packs and had them professionally installed by the same stylist of many years. I’m really disappointed because it’s not like I can return these or get a refund for the installation service. The only thing that has helped is coconut oil, which is only somewhat a solution since it is not to touch the tapes or near the tapes - because they will definitely come loose - and unfortunate some of the matting is occurring at the roots of the extensions. I gave these two stars because the balayage color is very pretty and unique. There are way too many of the same colors on Amazon for tape ins. I do appreciate this.
